It Actually Hurts Like Hell
Breakups suck. There's no way around it. That ache in your chest, the empty feeling, the constant checking of your phone hoping they'll text - I've been there more times than I'd like to admit.
Here's what helped me: allow yourself to feel the feelings. Don't pretend you're fine when you're not. Cry if you need to. Journal your thoughts. But also - get out of the house. Exercise. See friends. Don't isolate yourself.

Time really does heal. Months later, you'll look back and realize you dodged a bullet or learned valuable lessons about what you actually want in a partner.
