The Marathon, Not a Sprint
I've watched friends get married young and stay together decades later, while others have had multiple failed marriages. What's the difference? From what I've observed, it's usually a combination of commitment, communication, and choosing your battles wisely.
No relationship is perfect. Every couple fights. The ones who make it work have decided that being together matters more than being right. They apologize when they're wrong and don't keep score of who messed up last.
Daily Effort
Little things matter most. A morning text, a random compliment, doing that dish they hate - these moments build up. The grand gestures are nice, but consistency is what creates lasting bonds.
